Data4 Expands Polish Footprint with New 10MW Facility Near Warsaw

Data4 Inaugurates Second Data Center at Jawczyce Campus, Reinforcing Poland's Strategic Role

April 9, 2026

European data center operator Data4 has strengthened its commitment to the Polish market with the inauguration of a new 10-megawatt facility at its campus in Jawczyce, located in the municipality of Ożarów Mazowiecki near Warsaw. This expansion underscores Poland's growing significance as a digital infrastructure hub in Central and Eastern Europe, driven by accelerating demand for cloud services and artificial intelligence computing capacity.

The newly launched building is the second data center on the Jawczyce campus, following the commissioning of the first facility in 2023. Data4 employs a phased development strategy for the site, which spans 4 hectares. Upon full build-out, the campus is designed to deliver a total of 60MW of IT capacity across approximately 50,000 square meters, including around 15,000 square meters dedicated to technical space. Notably, 60 percent of the latest structure was constructed using prefabricated modules prepared off-site, a method aimed at enhancing efficiency and predictability.

Adam Ponichtera, Country Managing Director for Poland at Data4, stated, "Expanding the Jawczyce campus clearly demonstrates that Poland remains one of Data4’s key markets in Europe. We are developing infrastructure in a phased and predictable way, combining high technical standards with a responsible environmental approach." He emphasized that reliable digital infrastructure is a prerequisite for the continued growth of the digital economy.

The investment aligns with Data4's broader European strategy. To date, the company has invested nearly €200 million in Poland and plans to triple that figure to €600 million by 2030. Olivier Micheli, President and CEO of Data4, highlighted the strategic importance, noting, "With the rapid development of artificial intelligence and cloud services, digital infrastructure is becoming one of the foundations of Europe’s economic competitiveness."

The development also received endorsement at the national level. Andrzej Domański, Poland's Minister of Finance and Economy, remarked, "Poland is already a leader in Central and Eastern Europe, accounting for over one-third of the region’s data center capacity." He added that such investments strengthen technological sovereignty and create opportunities for local businesses in an era where data and computing power are critical resources.

Founded in 2006 and now owned by Brookfield, Data4 operates a network of more than 30 data centers across France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Germany, and Greece, with a total portfolio capacity of approximately 1.5 gigawatts. The Jawczyce expansion is a concrete step in meeting the escalating demand for scalable, secure, and efficient data center services in a key European growth market.
