Ada Infrastructure Breaks Ground on 300MW Data Center Campus in São Paulo, Marking Entry into Latin America
Ada Infrastructure has officially broken ground on a major data center campus in São Paulo, Brazil, marking the company’s strategic entry into the Latin American market. The development, which is planned to deliver up to 300 megawatts (MW) of IT capacity, represents one of the largest single-site data center projects in the region to date.
The campus is designed to meet growing demand for cloud services, artificial intelligence workloads, and digital infrastructure in South America’s largest economy. Brazil has emerged as a key hub for hyperscale data center investment, driven by increasing internet penetration, regulatory reforms, and proximity to transatlantic cable landing points. By establishing a presence in São Paulo, Ada Infrastructure positions itself to serve both global hyperscalers and local enterprises seeking low-latency, scalable capacity.
The project will be developed in multiple phases, with the first phase expected to come online within the next two years. Ada Infrastructure has not disclosed the total investment value for the campus, but industry analysts estimate that a 300MW facility in the region could represent a capital expenditure exceeding $1.5 billion. The company emphasized that the campus will incorporate advanced cooling technologies and renewable energy sourcing to align with sustainability targets.
The São Paulo campus will also create thousands of construction and operational jobs, contributing to the local economy. As Latin America’s data center market continues to expand, driven by digital transformation and cloud adoption, Ada Infrastructure’s move signals growing confidence in the region’s long-term infrastructure potential.
