Crusoe Secures 4.9 GW of Contracted AI Infrastructure Across Data Centers and Cloud

Crusoe, the AI factory company, announced it has contracted 4.9 gigawatts (GW) of AI infrastructure capacity, spanning its data center projects and Crusoe Cloud platform. This milestone underscores the surging demand from hyperscalers, enterprises, and AI-native companies for vertically integrated AI infrastructure solutions.

The company’s total development pipeline, including contracted projects, sites under active tenant negotiation, and those in advanced development, now exceeds 40 GW. This positions Crusoe to address a market opportunity that McKinsey & Company projects will require 156 GW of AI-related data center capacity by 2030.

Crusoe’s vertically integrated model, purpose-built for AI workloads, co-develops power and construction from the outset. Unlike traditional data center developers that treat these as sequential steps, Crusoe manufactures long-lead electrical components at its own facilities in Colorado, Oklahoma, and Louisiana, and ships prefabricated equipment ready for installation. This approach delivers compressed timelines, reduced risk, and has made Crusoe a preferred partner for demanding hyperscale clients. The integration extends to Crusoe Cloud, its AI platform for training, inference, and high-performance computing, offering timing, performance, and economic advantages that allow customers to focus on innovation rather than infrastructure management.

Crusoe’s data center development portfolio contracted to hyperscale clients spans five AI data center campuses across the United States. At its flagship 1.2 GW Abilene, Texas campus—purpose-built for Oracle—the first two buildings are operational, with six additional buildings under construction. The company recently broke ground on a second 900 MW campus in Abilene for Microsoft. Crusoe is also contracted to build two additional large-scale campuses in Texas and a fifth in Missouri, with each project in various stages of site work and construction. Each campus is paired with a dedicated power strategy tailored to local energy resources and site requirements.
