Argentum AI signs $2.5 billion data center deal with cloud and real estate firms

Argentum AI, an artificial intelligence infrastructure provider, has signed a deal worth approximately $2.5 billion with cloud gaming firm Boosteroid and real estate company DL Invest Group to develop a 300-megawatt data center in Europe, the company told Reuters on Friday.

Under the agreement, Argentum will deploy graphics processing unit (GPU) infrastructure in the data center, which is expected to utilize tens of thousands of next-generation GPUs, including Nvidia's Blackwell systems in the future. The project will be one of the largest independent AI infrastructure initiatives in the region, coming as the tech industry races to secure compute capacity to meet surging demand for AI and cloud services.

Boosteroid, which already operates dense GPU infrastructure across 29 data centers in Europe and the Americas, will collaborate with Argentum on the deployment. The companies are set to formally announce the deal later on Friday.

Argentum also noted that it is engaging with U.S. financial institutions and global investment banks to structure and provide large-scale financing to support hyperscale AI infrastructure deployments beyond this initial project.
