Arcus Acquires 6MW Verne Data Center in London to Expand European Colocation Footprint

Arcus Infrastructure Partners, a specialist infrastructure investment firm, has acquired a 6-megawatt data center in London from Verne, a prominent European colocation provider. The deal marks a strategic move by Arcus to deepen its presence in one of Europe’s most critical data center markets, as demand for colocation capacity continues to surge across the region.

The facility, located in the greater London area, is fully operational and currently serving existing customers. While financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, the acquisition represents a targeted expansion for Arcus, which has been actively building its digital infrastructure portfolio in Europe. The deal also underscores the growing appetite among institutional investors for mid-sized colocation assets in key metro markets, where capacity constraints and rising demand from cloud and enterprise users are driving valuations higher.

For Verne, the sale aligns with its broader strategy to optimize its portfolio and focus on core markets. The company has been reshaping its European footprint in recent years, and the London asset was considered non-core to its long-term growth plans. The transaction highlights the active M&A environment in the European data center sector, where operators and investors are repositioning portfolios to capture growth in high-density, low-latency hubs like London, Frankfurt, and Amsterdam.

Industry analysts note that the acquisition comes at a time when London remains one of the most constrained data center markets globally, with vacancy rates at historic lows and new supply struggling to keep pace with hyperscaler and enterprise demand. The addition of the 6MW facility gives Arcus immediate capacity in a supply-constrained environment, providing a platform for further expansion and customer acquisition in the UK capital.
