Huawei said the innovative chip Huawei TIANGANG will support 5G networks and 5G network deployment. The China-based company has won 30 commercial 5G contracts and shipped over 25,000 5G base stations globally.Ericsson,Nokia and ZTE are yet to reveal the number of commercial 5G deals they won.

Huawei said its end-to-end 5G chips support networks of all standards and all bands such as C band,3.5G,and 2.6G,helping telecom operator customers access the best wireless and microwave services.

Ryan Ding,Huawei Carrier BG CEO,said:“Huawei has capabilities to deliver end-to-end 5G,with simplified 5G networks and simplified operations&maintenance(O&M).We are leading the commercial rollout of 5G,and building a mature industry ecosystem.”

Benefits of Huawei TIANGANG

Huawei TIANGANG,the telecom industry’s first 5G core chip, promises 2.5-fold computing capacity,as compared with previous chips.A single chip—using the latest algorithms and beamforming technology—can control up to 64 channels. This chip supports 200 MHz high spectral bandwidth.

This chip brings improvements in active antenna units(AAUs),with 50 percent smaller,23 percent lighter, and 21 percent less power consuming base stations.Engineers can deploy 5G base stations in half the time as compared with installing a 4G base station.

“These features will help address issues such as site acquisition and network deployment costs,”Yang Chaobin, president of Huawei 5G Network Product Line, said.“These products help significantly boost network deployment and O&M efficiency, and make 5G deployment easier than 4G.”

Huawei also launched the world’s first data center switch with AI.This switch enables zero Ethernet packet loss and end-to-end latency of less than 10 milliseconds. It consumes less than 8W of power while delivering more computing capacity than 25 mainstream two-way CPU servers combined.

Huawei has introduced its AI technologies to enable an autonomous driving network, and developed the SoftCOM AI solution to help operators maximize energy efficiency, network performance,O&M efficiency, and user experiences. Huawei also announced the world’s fastest 5G multi-mode device chip and commercial devices.
