Huawei, ZTE Won a $1.4b Contract In India together with Ericsson and Nokia

Vodafone Idea,the joint venture by Vodafone India and Idea Cellular,has confirmed a deal worth$1.3bn-$1.4bn with a number of equipment makers,including Chinese companies Huawei and ZTE as well as European players Ericsson and Nokia.


Huawei is said to have won contracts in 7 telecom service regions,including Delhi and Chennai,ZTE has won 5.Nokia and Ericsson won 9 and 8 regional contracts respectively.Although the two European suppliers still have more telecom regions than Huawei and ZTE,their market share has fallen from 80%to 65%as Chinese manufacturers expansion.
