With a total investment of 1.2 billion yuan, the first phase of Shenzhen Urban Big Data Center officially started

Shenzhen's newly-started projects initial meeting  in the fourth quarter of 2021 were held recently. Longgang District included 37 new projects in this concentration, with a total investment of about 33.19 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of about 3.21 billion yuan, covering social and people's livelihood, industry and other fields, including the first phase of the Shenzhen City Big Data Center project.

Longgang District included 37 new projects in this concentration, with a total investment of about 33.19 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of about 3.21 billion yuan, covering social and people's livelihood, industry and other fields, including the first phase of the Shenzhen City Big Data Center project.

 

It is understood that the first phase of the Shenzhen Urban Big Data Center project has a total investment of 1.2 billion yuan, mainly for the construction of data computer rooms, equipment rooms, and data center operation and maintenance rooms. The planned total number of cabinets is 3929. According to the "Announcement of the Longgang Administration of Shenzhen Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Bureau on the proposed temporary use of forest land in Longgang District for the first phase (side slope) of Shenzhen Urban Big Data Center", the forest land area to be used in the first phase of the project is Bantian Street, Longgang District. The planned use of forest land is 0.2168 hectares.


Judging from the bidding information, the construction and procurement content of the first phase of the project includes (but is not limited to) the No. 1 computer room building, the supporting power building of the No. 1 computer room building, guards, earth and stone works, foundation pit support works, slope reinforcement works, and corresponding water, Access to electricity, gas, communication, network, three-network engineering, intelligent weak current, etc., equipment procurement and installation of cabinets, air conditioners, road squares, greening projects, pipeline relocation, opening of entrances and exits, smart construction sites, etc.; coordinate the surrounding supporting municipal roads Related work.

 

According to the official information, the bid-winning units for the first phase of the project are Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Shiyuan Technology Engineering Co., Ltd., and the First Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. of China Construction Third Bureau. The working period is 502 days.

 

After the project is completed, it will be able to carry forward the reform and construction of Shenzhen’s 5G applications in the future, boost the construction of Shenzhen’s “two places and three centers” data center system, and provide Shenzhen with a safe, reliable, and large-capacity digital infrastructure to build a world-class smart city and digital government.
