ST Telemedia GDC, a leading data center service provider in Singapore, recently announced that it will jointly develop and operate a third-party data center park in South Korea with a 60:40 ratio with South Korean high-voltage equipment provider Hyosung Heavy Industries.
ST Telemedia said that it is very glad to join hands with Hyosung to enter the Korean market, which is their fifth market in Asia. Hyosung Heavy Industries is strong strength in Korea's energy and construction industries. Based on ST Telemedia's global data center design, construction and operation experience, the joint data center will definitely be able to provide better services to Korean customers.
Hyosung also stated that they have decades of experience in the fields of electric power, industrial equipment and construction. South Korea’s data center is a fast-growing industry, and I am very happy to join hands with STT GDC to enter this new market.
Hyosung and STT are currently determining the location of the new data center in the Seoul.
