Edged Tops Out 42MW Data Center on Atlanta Campus, Third Building Set for 2027
Data center developer Edged has reached a structural milestone at its Atlanta campus, topping out the third building in a project that underscores the rapid expansion of digital infrastructure in the southeastern United States. The Endeavour-owned company announced last week that its latest facility, designated ATL01-3, has been topped out and is on track to become operational in early 2027.
Situated on Edged’s 80-acre campus at 1740 Thomas Street NW in Atlanta, Georgia, the single-story data center will deliver 42MW of capacity. The facility is equipped with waterless cooling technology developed by sister company ThermalWorks, enabling it to support over 400kW per rack with liquid cooling and more than 120kW per rack with air cooling. The building also features two meet-me rooms and four fiber entry points, designed to support high-density workloads and interconnectivity.
Plans for Edged’s Atlanta campus first emerged in January 2023, with construction on the first building commencing in July 2024. The full campus, which has a total planned capacity of 169MW, is now fully leased across all three data centers. This rapid leasing activity highlights strong demand for colocation and wholesale data center space in the Atlanta market, a growing hub for cloud and AI infrastructure.
Edged, formerly known as Edged Energy, is part of Endeavour, a platform founded by Aligned founder Jakob Carnemark. The company operates or has facilities in development across multiple markets, including Bilbao, Madrid, and Barcelona in Spain; Lisbon, Portugal; and several U.S. states such as Missouri, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, Iowa, Ohio, and Illinois. The topping out of ATL01-3 marks another step in Edged’s strategy to scale its footprint in key metropolitan areas.
