Beale Infrastructure in Talks for Third Oklahoma Data Center Campus Near Tulsa

January 06, 2026

Oklahoma is emerging as a new frontier for data center development, attracting investment as operators seek locations with available power, land, and favorable economic conditions beyond traditional hyperscale hubs.

Beale Infrastructure, a developer backed by alternative investment firm Blue Owl, is in discussions with the City of Claremore and Claremore Economic Development (CED) to build a new data center campus known as Project Mustang. According to local press reports, the proposed campus would be located within the Claremore Industrial Park, approximately 30 miles northeast of Tulsa in Rogers County.

The city confirmed the ongoing discussions in a statement, noting, “Over the past several months, the City and CED have been engaged in discussions regarding a potential large-scale economic development project, known as Project Mustang, within the Claremore Industrial Park. As with all industrial projects, rigorous site due diligence is required to determine feasibility before any commitments are made.” Beale’s website lists plans for the campus, which would feature multiple air-cooled data center buildings developed in phases, with the first phase potentially operational by 2028. Electric service for the campus would be provided by the City of Claremore, a wholesale customer of the Grand River Dam Authority (GRDA).

This marks Beale’s third planned development in the Tulsa area, significantly expanding its footprint in the state. The firm is also behind the proposed Project Atlas in Coweta, southeast of Tulsa, and the approved 506-acre Project Clydesdale campus in Owasso. Beyond Oklahoma, Beale is actively developing campuses outside Tucson, Arizona, and near Kansas City in De Soto, Kansas, where a $700 million project was recently approved.

The potential development underscores a broader trend of data center growth in secondary markets. While Oklahoma lacks a major established data center ecosystem, it has seen increasing activity. Google operates a long-standing campus in Pryor, east of Tulsa, which has undergone multiple expansions since 2011. Other players like TierPoint and Tonaquint also have facilities in the state. Furthermore, a separate 340-acre campus dubbed Project Anthem is planned for Tulsa, with construction slated to begin next year and Meta reportedly linked to the development.
