Evocative Secures New Debt Financing to Expand AI-Ready Data Center Infrastructure
December 18, 2025

As the global race to build and upgrade data centers for artificial intelligence workloads intensifies, securing capital has become a critical differentiator for infrastructure providers. In a significant move to capture this market, internet infrastructure firm Evocative has announced it has secured new debt financing from a large, undisclosed global investment firm. This fresh capital injection is earmarked for targeted upgrades and expansions across its data center portfolio, specifically to meet surging demand for high-density colocation and connectivity tailored for AI applications.

The funding round, which builds upon continued equity support from Evocative's long-term partner Crestline Investors, will enable the company to accelerate capacity upgrades and pursue strategic metro expansions. The company stated the investment will be directed towards enhancing the space, power, and robust global network required to support next-generation AI development, hybrid cloud environments, and infrastructure diversification strategies.

Derek Garnier, CEO of Evocative, framed the financing as a pivotal step in the company's growth trajectory. "This financing marks a significant milestone in Evocative’s continued journey to expand capacity and deliver on our long-term vision of high density colocation and a robust global network to support next generation AI applications," Garnier said. He emphasized the company's commitment to "building with discipline, scale, and customer focus."

The deal underscores the sustained investor confidence in the data center sector, particularly for operators positioning themselves as enablers of the AI boom. For Evocative, the capital provides the necessary fuel to compete in a market where the ability to rapidly deploy high-power computing infrastructure is increasingly paramount. The move is likely to bolster its capabilities in key interconnection hubs, allowing it to serve enterprises and cloud providers looking to scale complex AI workloads.
