Singularity Compute Launches AI-Focused GPU Cluster in Sweden December 9, 2025 As the global race for artificial intelligence (AI) and artificial superintelligence (ASI) capabilities intensifies, the demand for specialized, high-performance computing infrastructure has become a critical battleground. In a strategic move to build out this essential backbone, Singularity Compute, the for-profit infrastructure arm of the SingularityNET ecosystem, has launched a new GPU cluster in Sweden. The cluster, which went live this week, is hosted within a data center operated by Swedish colocation provider Conapto. While the exact scale and power capacity of the deployment were not disclosed, the company confirmed the cluster utilizes NVIDIA GPUs, including L40S and H200 models, with plans to incorporate B200s and other hardware in future expansion phases. The infrastructure is managed through solutions provided by UK-based AI infrastructure specialist Cudo Compute, which holds a multi-year capacity agreement with Conapto. In a statement, Joe Honan, CEO of Singularity Compute, framed the launch as a foundational step. “As we deploy in Sweden, we take a major step toward building the global infrastructure backbone for Artificial Superintelligence,” Honan said. The cluster is designed to offer both bare-metal and virtual machine GPU rentals, targeting enterprise AI workloads, AGI research, and large-scale model training. Conapto also highlighted the partnership, noting the infrastructure is “built for reliable, high-performance operations, enabling scalable GPU compute for enterprise AI workloads and the growing ASI ecosystem.” This deployment is part of a broader trend of AI-driven investment in the Nordic region, which is prized for its abundant renewable energy and cool climate—factors that help manage the substantial power demands and heat output of dense GPU clusters. The move follows a September 2025 agreement between Cudo Compute and Conapto specifically aimed at supporting SingularityNET's AI ambitions. For Conapto, which operates four facilities in the Stockholm area and recently announced an 8MW expansion to its Stockholm 4 South site, the deal underscores its positioning in the high-growth AI infrastructure market.
