Vantage Data Centers Completes First Malaysian Campus with Final 16MW Facility
December 4, 2025
Vantage Data Centers has officially completed its inaugural data center campus in Cyberjaya, Malaysia, with the launch of its fourth and final facility. The move underscores the strategic importance of Malaysia, which has rapidly emerged as Southeast Asia's fastest-growing data center hub, driven by increasing digitalization and cloud adoption across the region.
The newly operational building, designated KUL14, adds 16 megawatts of critical IT capacity to the campus. The company confirmed the facility is fully leased to a single, undisclosed customer, highlighting strong pre-commitment demand. This final phase brings the total capacity of the KUL1 campus to 31MW, distributed across four buildings spanning 463,000 square feet on a 6-acre site.
Jeremy Deutsch, president of Vantage Data Centers for APAC, stated, "We are thrilled to welcome our customer to KUL14 and support their expanding business. Vantage is actively expanding our footprint to grow with our customers, including the ongoing development of a second campus in Cyberjaya, providing over 400MW of total capacity. We are dedicated to delivering sustainable digital infrastructure to accelerate Malaysia's digitalization and contribute to its economic growth."
The completion of KUL1 marks a significant milestone in Vantage's expansion across the Asia-Pacific region. The company entered the APAC market in 2021 following DigitalBridge's acquisition and merger of PCCW's data center assets, which included the original Cyberjaya site. Vantage's broader APAC portfolio now encompasses 1 gigawatt of operational and planned capacity across markets including Australia, Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
Looking ahead, Vantage is already developing a second, larger campus in Cyberjaya known as KUL2, which is planned for 256MW. Combined with another project in Johor, these investments position Vantage as a major infrastructure player supporting the next wave of digital growth in Malaysia and the broader region.
