ACS Group Files for Permit, Nearing Start of $2.1 Billion Fort Worth Data Center December 1, 2025 A major new data center project in North Texas is moving closer to construction, highlighting the continued expansion of critical digital infrastructure into the region to support growing demand from cloud computing and artificial intelligence. Developers from the Spain-based infrastructure firm ACS Group have submitted a preliminary grading permit application to the City of Fort Worth for a proposed $2.1 billion data center campus. The filing, made on November 21, represents a key procedural step that could allow groundbreaking to commence soon, pending city approvals. The planned facility is slated for a 107-acre site in far north Fort Worth, situated near North Saginaw Boulevard and Hicks Field Road along the Bonds Ranch corridor. The campus is designed to consist of five buildings and will be located south of a forthcoming 850-acre residential development. This substantial investment follows the Fort Worth City Council's approval in April of a 10-year tax abatement incentive package for the project, which is expected to create 37 full-time operational jobs. ACS Group, known for its work on global projects like the Burj Khalifa in Dubai and the automated people mover at Los Angeles International Airport, is leading the development. Its subsidiary, the construction company Turner, which has previously worked on local projects including improvements to TCU's Amon G. Carter Stadium, is also involved. The company could not be reached for additional comment on its construction timeline. The progression of this project underscores the strategic importance of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex as a primary data center hub. The region offers favorable economics, available land, and reliable power, attracting billions in capital to build the infrastructure required for an increasingly data-driven economy.
