Nvidia Significantly Expands R&D Presence in Southern Israel

October 26, 2025

Leading chipmaker Nvidia is substantially expanding its operations in Israel, with a major focus on the southern city of Be'er Sheva. The company confirmed it is tripling its office space there and will relocate its R&D center to a new 3,000-square-meter facility in the Gav-Yam Negev High-Tech Park in the first half of 2026.

This expansion is expected to create hundreds of new jobs, employing not only students but also full-time chip developers, hardware, and software engineers.

Nvidia's workforce in Israel now exceeds 5,000 people, making it one of the country's largest high-tech employers. This growth follows its $7 billion acquisition of Mellanox Technologies in 2019, which more than doubled its local team. Alongside the southern expansion, Nvidia is planning a massive new campus in northern Israel, representing a multi-billion shekel investment.

In 2024, the company further cemented its local commitment by acquiring two AI startups, Deci and Run:ai, for a combined $1 billion. Israel has solidified its position as Nvidia's second-largest R&D hub outside the United States.
