US Federal Mine Safety and Health Review Commission solicits data center services

Contract for one year, with potential four year extension

The US Federal Mine Safety and Health Review Commission (FMSHRC) is soliciting data center services.

The FMSHRC provides administrative trial and appellate reviews of legal disputes arising under the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act of 1977 (Mine Act).

The solicitation pertains to the FMSHRC’s existing network cabling and wireless systems, which are “nearing end-of-life and cannot reliably support remote hearings, secure document access, or growing mobility needs.”

The supplier will evaluate the existing re-cabling infrastructure and provide a Wireless-as-a-Service solution.

As per a solicitation posted on sam.gov, the government intends to issue a contract for the duration of one year, with an option to extend by an additional four years. This will be a firm-fixed-price contract, the value of which was not disclosed.

The solicitation submission period has been extended to August 13, and any questions about the solicitation are due before 2:00pm Eastern Time on August 5.
