NTT tops out latest Jakarta data center, Indonesia

Jakarta 2A set to go live in early 2026

NTT Global Data Centers has topped out its latest data center in Jakarta, Indonesia.

“A major construction milestone reached today as we celebrated the topping out of our Jakarta 2A data center!,” NTT said on LinkedIn this week. “This new facility brings us another step closer to supporting Indonesia’s digital ambitions with scalable, high-quality infrastructure designed to meet the needs of both hyperscalers and enterprises.”

Plans for the Jakarta 2 Annex Data Center (JKT2A) were announced in May 2024. Located in central Jakarta, the seven-story facility will offer 12MW across 5,800 sqm (62,430 sq ft) and incorporate air-cooling systems to host rack densities of up to 40kW. It is set to launch in early 2026.

NTT noted the construction team had achieved 1,000,000 safe manhours on site. The topping out ceremony concluded with a “prayer session and a moment of reflection and gratitude.”

The existing JKT2 offers 9.4MW across 5,400 sqm (58,125 sq ft) and capacity for 2,800 racks across eight stories. The company acquired the facility in 2015 through the purchase of Cyber CSF.

NTT launched its JKT3 campus in the Bekasi area of the city in April 2022. The four-story building offers 18,000 sqm (193,750 sq ft) of IT space and 15.2MW capacity. When fully built out, the campus will reach 45MW.

NTT previously operated its Jakarta 1 facility in the Wisma 46 building, but that is no longer listed on the company’s site.
