Digital Realty sells Atlanta data center to Menlo Equities

Second former Delta Airlines facility recently sold by Digital

Investment firm Menlo Equities has acquired a Digital Realty data center in Atlanta, Georgia.

BisNow reports that an affiliate of Menlo Equities purchased 760 Doug Davis Drive in Hapeville for $65.5m from Digital Doug Davis LLC, a known affiliate of Digital Realty.

Digital operated the site at its ATL12 facility, but is no longer listed on the company’s website. The site totals around 31,000 sqm.

Acquired in 2011 from Delta Airlines, the facility was reportedly built around 1992.

760 Doug Davis was one of two sites bought from Delta in sale-leaseback deals; the other was a facility in Eagan, Minnesota, bought in 2013 that has since been sold off for redevelopment.

Digital Realty declined to comment on the sale when approached by DCD.

The company currently lists three facilities in Atlanta, totaling 44,900 sqm (484,000 sq ft) of colocation space: ATL11 at 101 Aquila Way in Austell, ATL13 at the 56 Marietta carrier hotel, and ATL14 at 250 Williams Street NW.

Real estate firm Menlo owns a number of data centers across California, Virginia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Tennessee, and Texas. It previously acquired nine facilities from Digital Realty in 2021, including sites in Silicon Valley, Virginia, Texas, and New Jersey.
