Saudi Arabia's MIS to deliver 112MW of data center space

Working with Saudi Data Center Fund 1

Saudi Arabia’s Al Moammar Information Systems Company (MIS) has agreed a deal to deliver an additional 112MW of data center capacity with the kingdom’s Saudi Data Centre Fund 1.

The IT services provider revealed the news in an announcement to the Saudi stock exchange on Wednesday.

Under the agreement, the company will “expand existing data centers with an additional capacity of up to 112MW along with the potential of developing new data centers,” it said.

Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Saudi Data Center Fund 1 was set up by MIS and Saudi Fransi Capital in 2021 to provide an initial 24MW of data center capacity in the region across six data centers. As reported by DCD last year, it is already working with MIS to build up to 64MW.

According to the announcement, MIS has so far acted as “design-builder for the initial capacity already under development of 32MW and is also the facility manager of these existing data center sites.”
