DaVita-occupied data center up for sale in Tacoma, Washington

Healthcare company leasing the site until at least 2032.An enterprise-leased data


center is up for sale in Tacoma, Washington.The Kase Group is offering the DaVita Data Center, at 1441 Court A, for sale. The fully-leased facility is available for $9.11 million.


Sat on less than an acre, the three-story building totals 18,730 sq ft (1,740 sqm). The property was built in 1923 and fully renovated in 2012.


The single-tenant property is leased to dialysis center operator DaVita, Inc. under an industrial NNN lease, expiring November 2032. The lease includes annual rent escalations and four 5-year renewal options.


DaVita is a Fortune 200 company operating over 2,900 dialysis centers worldwide. The company was founded in 1979 as Medical Ambulatory Care, Inc., a subsidiary of National Medical Enterprises, Inc. (now Tenet Healthcare); today it serves more than 200,000 patients across a dozen countries.


The company has reportedly occupied the Tacoma data center since around 2001. The healthcare firm has previously partnered with Google Cloud.


DataVita recently suffered a ransomware attack, but has said its dialysis care has continued. Recovery efforts are ongoing.
