Systech expands into AI data centres in collaboration with Pinetop

SYSTECH Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, SysAIU Sdn Bhd, has signed a collaboration agreement with Pinetop Technology Venture Sdn Bhd to establish, develop, and operate AI-driven data centres in Malaysia.


The agreement spans an initial two-year term with the possibility of annual renewals.

Pinetop, led by sole director Lim Leong Cheong, specialises in AI applications, including computing vision and image recognition.


SysAIU will oversee sourcing, installing, and maintaining the necessary infrastructure, while Pinetop will manage the daily operations of high-performance GPU infrastructure.


“This agreement presents a strategic opportunity for Systech to diversify and enhance its presence in the AI-driven data centre market,” Systech stated in its filing to Bursa.


Both parties will collaborate on budgeting, marketing strategies, and operational management.


According to the filing, Systech’s board is confident that this partnership will position the company at the forefront of AI advancements in Malaysia.


The share price increased 1.54% to 33 sen at closing today, with the market capitalisation of RM212.68 million.
