Centrin Data Kunshan Data Center’s 220kV substation dual-circuit officially opened, with a capacity of 600MVA in the campus

Recently, the 220 kV Centrin Data Substation Qinfeng Line of CICC Data Kunshan Data Center campus was officially electrified. So far, the 220 kV power transmission and transformation project of CICC Data Kunshan Data Center has been officially completed and has entered the formal operation stage. The park has achieved a power consumption capacity of 300MVA for each of the two roads, and the total power consumption capacity of the park has reached 600MVA (2x300MVA), further improving the power supply capacity of the data center. Stability and reliability, and optimized the power grid structure of Huaqiao Economic Development Zone, Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province, empowering strong energy support for regional digitalization, and comprehensively helping radiate the high-quality transformation and development of the digital economy in the Yangtze River Delta region.

On November 21, Suzhou Power Supply Company organized a start-up meeting for the power transmission of the 220 kV Centrin Data Substation Qinfeng Line, discussing in detail the process of each stage of power transmission. On the 22nd, Suzhou and Kunshan power supply companies, construction units (Dongdian Electric Power), design institutes, equipment manufacturers, Centrin Data Kunshan data center engineering and operation and maintenance teams began to work on Qinfeng Line and 220 kV Centrin Data Substation Road B The equipment is powered on to start working. During the period, the project engineering team actively communicated with the State Grid power supply company and government departments, efficiently organized the preparatory work, delivered high-quality design plans and construction drawings on time, and organized the design unit to conduct joint inspection and disclosure of construction drawings. By strengthening safety and civilized construction supervision on the site, strictly controlling the quality of workmanship, vigorously promoting the construction progress, and promoting the power transmission project to pass the strict inspection of the provincial power quality supervision, power supply company and government departments. During this power transmission process, the power transmission personnel performed their respective duties, and achieved a closed loop without defects and 360-degree dead angles, which ensured the smooth operation of the 220 kV Centrin Data Substation of Centrin Data Kunshan Data Center.

CICC Data Kunshan Data Center is the core node of the data center deployed by CICC Data Group Co., Ltd. in East China. It is adjacent to Shanghai, 40 kilometers away from the center of Shanghai, and directly connected to Shanghai's national network exchange center, which helps to achieve excellent low latency Internet connection. The park covers an area of 250 mu, with a total planned construction area of about 300,000 square meters and can provide 32,000 standard cabinets. It can be connected to the networks of the three major operators, and has established strategic partnerships with China Unicom, China Telecom and China Mobile. The park has been selected as the ninth batch of national new industrial demonstration bases by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, a national green data center, a carbon neutral innovator, and has been awarded the Tier IV design certification and M&O certification of the internationally renowned data center standard organization Uptime Institute.

The official operation of the 220 kV Centrin Data substation of Centrin Data Kunshan Data Center is an important manifestation of Centrin Data’s high reliability and economic core competitiveness, and an important energy guarantee for providing customers with high-quality services. In the future, CICC Data Kunshan Data Center will insist on focusing on information services, make full use of renewable energy, use energy-saving technologies and other paths to continuously explore, promote green and low-carbon and new data center transformation, and use green and efficient new digital foundations Facilities services provide stable support for high-quality digital development in the new era, fully practice corporate social responsibility, and work together to build an industrial ecological chain of efficient, green, and low-carbon development.
