Agricultural Bank of China's Inner Mongolia Data Center Starts Construction, and 14 New IDC Projects are built in Helinger

On August 2, the Agricultural Bank of China's Inner Mongolia data center construction project started construction in Helinger New District, Inner Mongolia, and there are 14 new and continued data center projects in Helinger New District.

The Agricultural Bank of China's Inner Mongolia data center construction project has a total investment of 8.8 billion yuan and a total construction area of 710,000 square meters. After the project is completed, the installed capacity of servers will reach 300,000 units.

The project is divided into 3 phases, the total construction area of the first phase is about 209,000 square meters, of which the computer room area is about 128,000 square meters, including the construction of 6 computer room buildings, 4 power buildings, 2 spare parts warehouse buildings, and 1 production and transportation building. The maintenance support building, etc., the first phase will be put into use before the end of 2024, and all the projects are planned to be completed around 2030.

After the completion of the Agricultural Bank of China data center in Inner Mongolia, it will improve the overall disaster recovery structure of the data center of the Agricultural Bank of China. It will meet the needs of massive data analysis and storage in the digital transformation and the needs of information system deployment of each branch and ABC Group in the intensive transformation.

Multiple Financial Institution Data Centers Have Landed, and International Internet Data Channels Have Been Activated

In February of this year, the National Development and Reform Commission approved the Inner Mongolia hub node of the national integrated computing power network, and planned to set up a Helinger data center cluster to give full play to the geographical advantage of the cluster adjacent to Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei to provide support for the high real-time computing power needs of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and non-real-time computing power guarantee for regions such as the Yangtze River Delta. Helinger New District is located in the cluster start area.

On July 6 this year, the dedicated channel for international Internet data in Helinger was officially opened. After testing and evaluation, compared with non-dedicated channels, the average packet loss rate index of Helinger International Internet data dedicated channel increased by 86.25%, the average packet loss rate decreased by 4.07 percentage points, the average access delay index increased by 16.99%, and the average access delay is shortened by 46.52ms

At present, the total export bandwidth of Helinger New Area has reached 35.9T, and it has achieved direct connection with 18 major cities in China. The delay of mutual visits with Beijing is only about 10ms. Together with the Internet backbone direct connection points, a high-speed broadband network and an international communication business channel connecting the whole country and connecting Russia, Mongolia and Europe have been formed.

In terms of data center cluster construction, Helinger New District has launched the "Computing and Storage Capacity Multiplication Plan":

The three major operators have completed an investment of about 6 billion yuan in the new area, forming an installed capacity of 1 million servers;

The construction of a number of green and energy-saving data centers such as Dongfang Guoxin Industrial Internet Northern Regional Center and Zhongshu Xingsheng Northern Data Lake (Finance Technology Industrial Park) are being accelerated;

Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, China Construction Bank and other financial institutions have also been attracted to build a financial technology data center here.

At present, there are 14 new and continued data center projects in Helinger New District, with a total investment of 68.569 billion yuan. The construction of an IDC ecological cluster integrating application bearing, data storage, disaster recovery and backup services is accelerating. Helinger New District The data center cluster can carry 5 million servers in the future.
