China Unicom supports world’s first telesurgery via 5G

IDCNOVA news: Recently,a special operation was implemented in Southeastern China’s Fuzhou City.Although 50km between the doctor and the“patient”(a pig),the doctor instructed the robot via remote control and cut off the hepatic lobule of the patient successfully through the 5G network built up by China Unicom,which is the first animal telesurgery based on 5G network in the world.

The remarkable meaning of this telesurgery implies that quality medical resources could benefit more people after the 5G commercialization,5G could not only be applied in smart medical care,but also smart industry,smart transportation,smart city and smart education,etc.
