The Qinghai Provincial Meteorological Bureau announced on the 23rd that the Qinghai Provincial Development and Reform Commission recently issued the "Approval on the Feasibility Study Report on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Ecological Big Data Center" (hereinafter referred to as the "Approval") to the Qinghai Provincial Meteorological Bureau, agreeing to build the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau ecological big data center project. It marks the official approval of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Ecological Big Data Center.
According to reports, the total investment of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau ecological big data center project is 239.7 million yuan (RMB, the same below). The provincial government arranged an investment of 129.7 million yuan for the construction of the data center civil engineering and supporting facilities, mainly for the new 9,580 square meters of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau ecological big data center business building, purchase and installation of the business building fresh air system, two roads power supply system, ventilation system, cabinet system, fire protection system, integrated wiring, etc., supporting the construction of guard rooms, lightning protection projects, roads, fences, gates, retaining walls and other ancillary facilities. The China Meteorological Administration arranged an investment of 110 million yuan for the purchase of related equipment and the construction of business systems, mainly including communication network systems, infrastructure cloud platforms, ecological big data platforms, and ecological weather service centers.
The Qinghai Meteorological Bureau stated that after the completion of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Ecological Big Data Center project, it will realize the organic integration of Qinghai Province's meteorological business with the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau ecological business, as well as the intensive sharing of ecological resources and technologies among various departments in Qinghai Province, and further enhance the capability of collection, sharing, handling, application and service of Qinghai's meteorological big data. It will provide technical and platform support for the sharing and interconnection of ecological big data in Qinghai province. It will also provide data support and decision-making support for Qinghai ecological civilization construction, disaster prevention and mitigation, environmental protection and other work, as well as the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau climate change, ecological environment, water cycle, carbon peak and carbon neutral research.
