SuperX and STT GDC Launch AI Innovation Centre in Singapore to Bridge Infrastructure Gap
April 15, 2026
In a strategic move to address a critical bottleneck in artificial intelligence adoption across Asia, SuperX AI Technology Limited (NASDAQ: SUPX) and ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) have jointly launched an AI Innovation Centre in Singapore. The initiative comes as enterprises increasingly struggle to move AI projects from experimental phases into full-scale production due to a lack of ready, enterprise-grade infrastructure.
The centre, hosted at STT GDC's Singapore 5 facility in Tai Seng, is operational immediately and has already onboarded its first cohort of users. It is engineered to provide high-performance compute for short-term, intensive workloads such as pilot programs, proof-of-concept testing, and model benchmarking. By combining STT GDC's resilient, AI-ready data centre infrastructure with SuperX's proprietary hardware and orchestration software, the partnership aims to significantly reduce the upfront investment and operational complexity that typically stalls AI initiatives.
The launch follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed by the two companies in January 2026 and is a direct response to research highlighting a regional infrastructure gap. A recent STT GDC study surveying over 600 leaders across nine Asian markets found that a majority of organizations are stuck in the 'Building' phase of AI maturity. The new centre offers a 14-day free trial for enterprises, regional businesses, and Institutions of Higher Learning to validate the performance and feasibility of their AI projects, with the goal of moving from idea to pilot in a matter of weeks.
Mingcheng Lim, Country Head for Singapore at ST Telemedia Global Data Centres, emphasized the strategic importance of the collaboration. "The foundation of any successful AI strategy is dependable, scalable infrastructure," Lim stated. "By combining our operational excellence with SuperX’s advanced orchestration capabilities, we are providing a strategic blueprint for organisations to move past the pilot phase."
Beyond initial testing, the centre provides flexible pathways for organizations to scale their deployments into full production, hybrid, or private AI models within STT GDC's global footprint. Kenny Sng, CTO of SuperX, highlighted the centre's role in accelerating real-world outcomes. "Many enterprises struggle with the cost and complexity of setting up dedicated AI environments. The AI Innovation Centre reduces that friction, enabling teams to deploy models from a built-in catalogue or third-party marketplaces in days, not months," Sng said.
The partnership signals a growing trend of specialized, on-demand AI infrastructure services designed to de-risk innovation for businesses. By providing a localized, secure, and enterprise-grade foundation, the centre aims to become a key enabler for measurable AI investment returns and long-term competitive advantage in the region.
