Submer and Anant Raj Cloud Forge Partnership to Develop AI-Ready Data Centers in India
February 10, 2026
In a strategic move to capitalize on India's booming digital infrastructure demand, immersion cooling specialist Submer has entered a partnership with Anant Raj Cloud, the data center subsidiary of prominent Indian real estate developer Anant Raj Limited. The collaboration aims to develop a new generation of data centers optimized for high-density computing and artificial intelligence workloads across the country. The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which is scheduled for exchange at the upcoming India AI Impact Summit on February 19-20, 2026. While an MoU is a non-binding declaration of intent, it signals a serious commitment to explore joint ventures. Specific details regarding the number, size, cost, and precise locations of the planned facilities were not disclosed in the initial announcement.
Under the agreement, Spain-based Submer will contribute its advanced single-phase immersion cooling technology and its recently launched AI cloud platform, InferX. This vertical integration strategy, announced by Submer in October 2025, positions the company as more than a component supplier. Anant Raj Cloud, established in 2023 to diversify its parent company's traditional focus on residential and commercial real estate, will bring its expertise in land acquisition, construction, and local market development to the venture. This is not Anant Raj's first foray into the sector; in November 2025, the company signed another MoU with the State of Andhra Pradesh for a data center project valued at approximately $507 million (Rs 4,500 crore). Dev Tyagi, President of UK, India, and Asia at Submer, framed the partnership as a foundational model, stating, "This partnership… establishes a blueprint for industrialized, AI application-ready data centers that can be replicated across India."
The deal highlights a growing trend of cross-sector alliances, where specialized technology providers partner with established industrial groups possessing capital and real estate assets to rapidly scale data center deployment. For the Indian market, one of the world's fastest-growing for data centers, this collaboration represents a push towards next-generation infrastructure capable of supporting the immense power and cooling requirements of AI clusters. It also underscores the critical role innovative cooling solutions like immersion technology will play in ensuring the sustainability and economic viability of these power-intensive facilities.
