Alibaba Cloud Strengthens Digital Partner Ecosystem to Accelerate Digital Transformation in Indonesia

Alibaba Cloud, the digital technology and intelligence backbone of Alibaba Group, announced it is strengthening its local ecosystem by onboarding and collaborating more closely with its technology partners. Together, they will support Indonesian customers’ growing demand for digital transformation in areas including mobile banking and enterprise resource planning (ERP).

In addition, the cloud leader has unveiled further digital talent training programs along with expanded community support. These initiatives will continue to accelerate businesses’ digitalization efforts in the market.

“We have been serving the Indonesia market since 2016 and over the past six years, we have committed to the market by investing more resources to grow our local partner ecosystem, introduced advanced products and services, offered various digital talent training programs and provided support to the startup and developer communities,” said Leon Chen, Country Manager of Indonesia, Alibaba Cloud Intelligence. “Looking ahead into 2023, we will continue our unwavering devotion to the Indonesia market by supporting the acceleration of the digital transformation of all types of Indonesian businesses.”

Boost Digital Ecosystem with More Technology Partners

Alibaba Cloud has been growing its local ecosystem in Indonesia by uniting with experienced technology partners including ISVs and system integrators. This year, partners including AdIns (specialized in Multi-finance System), Real Data Indonesia (in Mobile App Performance and Monitoring), Dimata Sora Jayate (in ERP), Worxcode (in i-Office), MKP (in E-ticketing Payment Systems), 3Dolphins (in Chatbots & CRM) and Zahir (in Integrated Business App), have strengthened their collaboration with Alibaba Cloud, as the latter continues its mission to facilitate local customers’ digital transformation demands.

As part of Alibaba Cloud’s global program “Regional Accelerator”, announced in September, Alibaba Cloud will also offer partners in Indonesia strong support - including funding, rebates and go-to-market initiatives – to accelerate their technology innovation and market expansion in a joint effort to further empower customers in the country.

Driving Digital Talent Training and Community Support

Over the past year, more than 62,000 people in Indonesia have joined various digital training programs organized by Alibaba Cloud in collaboration with local universities, associations, startup incubators and developer communities.

For example, Alibaba Cloud unveiled a Student Ambassador Program this year, which aims to select enthusiastic student ambassadors from universities across the country to help promote knowledge of cloud computing and digital intelligence among the next workforce generation. 20 Student ambassadors across 40 universities were selected this year, and the company is planning to recruit student interns who will benefit from a full year of learning and field experience in 2023.

In addition, this year Alibaba Cloud has partnered with 10 universities such as Universitas Indonesia (UI), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Universitas Gajah Mada (UGM), Institut Teknologi & Bisnis (Stikom Bali), Institut Teknologi Adhi Tama Surabaya (Itats), Universitas Bina Nusantara (Binus) in cities including Jakarta, Surabaya, Bali, Bandung and Yogyakarta, to train their lecturers and students on cloud computing and AI subjects.

The company has also been supporting the digital talent training programs provided by KOMINFO (The Ministry of Communications and Informatics Indonesia), from which over 2,000 students have benefitted from upskilling themselves on topics such as cloud computing, security and big data to remain competitive in the digital era.

Alibaba Cloud has also partnered with over 20 local associations and developer communities including Indigo, Codepolitan, Cloud Computing association (ACCI) and Aftech this year to create online training and education workshops for rising startups, developers and budding entrepreneurs.

Support Customers’ Digital Transformation with Cutting-edge Products and Solutions

Over the past year, Alibaba Cloud has introduced a range of cutting-edge products in the field of digital analytics, intelligent recommendations, microservice applications management, enhanced security solutions and blockchain as a service for customers to accelerate their digital transformation journeys.

Telkomsigma, a subsidiary of Telkom Group, Indonesia's largest telecommunications provider, has collaborated with Alibaba Cloud to increase the capacity and capabilities of its cloud services. Leveraging Apsara stack, a secure and intelligent solution by Alibaba Cloud, Telkomsigma will also expand its cloud services to provide hybrid and multi-cloud environments to meet Telkomsigma’s demands on high-capacity environment, cloud-based innovation and operation and management efficiency.

AI Rudder, a software company that provides advanced Voice AI technology to help companies address B2C communication challenges, has tapped into Alibaba Cloud’s scalable cloud infrastructure and solutions to develop a digital analytics and AI platform to perform intelligence-driven optimization and predictive analytics in order to improve the performance and accuracy of its Voice AI solutions.

PT Raiz Invest Indonesia (“Raiz”), a financial technology company in Indonesia, has partnered with Alibaba Cloud to build an application development and deployment pipeline with agility, coordination and transparency. With Alibaba Cloud’s cloud-native solutions, Raiz has expanded its capability to serve an increasing number of users and daily transactions in a resilient while secure way.
