On July 4th, in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, the fourth phase of China Telecom (Nanjing) IoT Operation and Innovation Center Jishan (hereinafter referred to as "Jishan Data Center") held a topping out ceremony.
The popping out ceremony is for the fourth phase of the project. In the fourth phase, a new data center computer room building, 1 oil engine building and 1 supporting room are built. The total construction area of the fourth phase project is 58,000 square meters, and the estimated investment is 1.05 billion yuan. It can provide up to 6720 cabinet services.
It is reported that China Telecom currently has 7 high-star standard data centers in Nanjing. Among them, the Nanjing Jishan data center is one of the core nodes of the Yangtze River Delta cloud resource layout and the group's national computing power scheduling, and has been selected into the list of typical cases of national new data centers in 2021. The fourth phase of the project will complete the preliminary acceptance of the machine building by the end of this year, and put into production 2,100 cabinets.
At present, China Telecom is making every effort to promote the effective implementation of the "East Data and West Computing" project. According to the 2021 financial report, China Telecom has more than 700 data centers and provides 470,000 service racks, of which nearly 80% are deployed in four key areas: Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and Chengdu-Chongqing, forming a resource layout of 2+4+31+X+O.
