Bridge Data Centres Secures Sustainable Water Supply for Thailand Hyperscale Campus
CHONBURI, Thailand October 17,2025– Bridge Data Centres (BDC), an APAC data center developer, has entered into a ten-year industrial water purchase agreement with Thai utility Eastwater Stecon Utilities Co (EWS) to ensure a sustainable water supply for its hyperscale data center campus under construction in Chonburi Province.
The agreement, effective from May 2026, will see EWS provide BDC with industrial water to support operations at the facility. Eric Fan, CEO of Bridge Data Centres, emphasized that "a stable utility ecosystem is key to delivering world-class digital infrastructure that supports artificial intelligence and computing strategies along with the nation’s digital transformation ambitions."
The QH101 facility, launched in July this year, is situated south of Bangkok in the Khlong Tamru Subdistrict within Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor. Spanning approximately 16 hectares, the campus is projected to deliver up to 200MW of IT capacity upon full build-out, representing a total investment of approximately $1.2 billion.
Sampan Chanaburanasak, Director of STECON Power, stated: "This collaboration highlights EWS and the Eastwater Group’s role as a leading integrated water-management provider. BDC will benefit from a safe, high-quality, and uninterrupted water supply that complies with international sustainability and safety standards."
BDC, owned by Bain Capital, has previously secured similar water supply agreements across the APAC region, including a recent memorandum of understanding with Johor Special Water for wastewater utilization in Malaysia. The company currently operates multiple data centers in Malaysia and one in Bangkok, continuing its strategic expansion across the region.
