Sabey Data Centers Expands Power Capacity Nationwide to Meet Soaring Industry Demand

October 16, 2025

As the data center industry grapples with record-low vacancies and escalating demand for reliable capacity, Sabey Data Centers is closing out 2025 with a significant expansion of power availability across its key U.S. campuses. This strategic move underscores the company's continued focus on providing scalable and energy-efficient infrastructure tailored for both enterprise and hyperscale customers, ensuring they have flexible options in a constrained market.

The newly confirmed capacity spans several of Sabey's flagship campuses in major markets, including the Pacific Northwest, East Coast, and Texas. In the Pacific Northwest, the SDC Columbia campus in Quincy, Washington, now has 4.5 MW leasable immediately, with an additional 18 MW available for pre-leasing; the first 9 MW of this new capacity is scheduled to come online in Q4 2026, followed by the remaining 9 MW in 2027. Nearby, the SDC Seattle campus is offering 3.5 MW available now and 12 MW for pre-leasing, expected in 2027. On the East Coast, the SDC Manhattan facility in New York has 755 kW leasable immediately, while the SDC Ashburn campus in Virginia has 14 MW available for pre-leasing, with a planned operational date by Q3 2026. In Texas, the SDC Austin campus is making 18 MW available for pre-leasing, with the first 9 MW coming online by Q4 2027. A substantial expansion is also underway at the SDC Umatilla campus in Oregon, where 120 MW is available for pre-leasing, with the first 12 MW ready by 2027. This wave of new availability, which includes 8 MW immediately leasable across the Pacific Northwest, reinforces Sabey’s commitment to delivering flexible options for customers with urgent needs.

“In a nationwide market where vacancies are dropping lower than ever before, our priority remains ensuring that customers have flexible, accessible power and space across our data center portfolio,” said Tim Mirick, President of Sabey Data Centers. “From Manhattan to Texas to the Pacific Northwest, our campuses provide secure, sustainable options for both immediate requirements and long-term growth.” As digital infrastructure demand continues to accelerate, this expansion underscores Sabey's proactive approach to capacity planning, a strategy that combines scalable design with renewable energy sourcing and a long-standing reputation for operational reliability.

With more than four million square feet of mission-critical space across its portfolio, Sabey stands as one of the largest privately owned multi-tenant data center developers and operators in the nation. The company serves many of the world’s top technology, financial, and healthcare organizations, offering custom-built solutions that balance efficiency, sustainability, and cost of ownership. This latest round of expansions ensures that customers will continue to have access to dependable, high-performance capacity in key U.S. markets, positioning Sabey’s nationwide footprint and deep development pipeline to support the next wave of innovation in the digital economy.
