Continues Edge facility roll-out across the Lone Star State
Duos Edge AI is set to deploy two of its Edge data centers in Corpus Christi, Texas.
The data centers will serve as “central communications hubs for carriers delivering services to mobile operators, enterprises, local education, healthcare, and digital economy sectors while driving growth across the local market,” the company said.
They will be delivered by the end of July.
Corpus Christi is a coastal city in South Texas, and is the state’s eighth largest settlement.
“Our Corpus Christi project highlights the speed, precision, and value of our Edge AI model,” said Doug Recker, president and founder of Duos Edge AI.
“We’re delivering high-availability, localized computing power that enables fiber and network providers to scale efficiently and meet increasing demand at the edge. We are bringing a state-of-the-art EDC solution to Corpus Christi to enable the major communications carriers to have an even more robust solution to the Corpus Christi market.”
Duos Edge was founded last year by train technology firm Duos, and raised $2.2m in funding for the initial roll-out. The new business is led by EdgePresence and Colo5 founder Recker, and the company’s Edge data centers contain 15 cabinets housed in a 55ft by 13ft (13m by 4m) pod and are reportedly able to support up to 100kW per rack.
The company deployed an Edge module at the Region 16 Education Service Center in Amarillo, Texas, last year, serving 60 school districts and three charter schools with 226 campuses across a 26,000 square-mile area.
More recently, in May 2025, the firm supplied a data center to another Texas school district in Victoria.
Duos Edge AI intends to deploy 15 data centers by the end of 2025.
