Replaces previous container version with purpose-built design
Micro data center firm Zella DC has launched a new prefabricated data center pod.
The company this week announced the launch of the latest generation of Zella Max, a purpose-built modular data center for Edge deployments.
Unlike its predecessor, the new Zella Max is not a repurposed container but has been engineered from the ground up. It comes pre-installed with precision cooling, power systems, security features, and environmental monitoring
The 20-foot modular unit is available in two configurations: the single-door Zella Max 4, which can accommodate up to four self-contained Zella Pro micro data centers; and the two-door Zella Max 6, able to house up to six Zella Pro micro data centers.
Previously known as Zellabox, Zella DC was founded in Perth, Western Australia, and offers a number of micro data center products – self-contained, single-rack data center pods that can be deployed inside buildings or outside.
The company last year launched an upgraded line of rugged outdoor micro data centers. 2024 also saw it launch a portable rugged micro data center called Zella Fort.
