LG Uplus Launches PMDC Alliance to Accelerate AI Data Center Development

LG Uplus has taken a significant step to strengthen its position in the rapidly growing artificial intelligence data center market by launching the PMDC Alliance, a collaborative initiative aimed at advancing the design, construction, and operation of next-generation AI facilities. As part of the initiative, the alliance will develop both hyperscale standard models and retrofit models, each designed for 100 MW-class capacity. These models are intended to address the growing demand for high-performance computing infrastructure capable of supporting AI workloads, which require significantly more power and cooling than traditional enterprise data centers.
