Bitdeer Technologies Group, a Singapore-headquartered technology company specializing in AI and Bitcoin mining infrastructure, has signed an eight-year data center services agreement for a 60-megawatt facility in Malaysia, a move that significantly advances the company's ambitions in the rapidly expanding AI cloud infrastructure market.
The new site, designated A103, is located on the same Cyberjaya campus that houses Bitdeer's existing A101 and A102 facilities. The deal lifts Bitdeer's total secured AI cloud capacity to approximately 333.5 MW, representing about 95 percent of the company's 350 MW target set for the first quarter of 2028. Including A101 and A102, the Cyberjaya campus is expected to reach roughly 71.5 MW of AI cloud capacity once fully operational.
The facility is purpose-built for liquid-cooled, rack-scale systems from Nvidia, including the company's next-generation Vera Rubin platform. Bitdeer expects A103 to be energized in the first quarter of 2028, aligning with the anticipated commercial availability of Nvidia's Vera Rubin generation of AI hardware.
Michael G. Potter, CFO of Bitdeer Technologies Group, said the company had now secured roughly 95 percent of its capacity target and emphasized that expanding on an existing campus would accelerate deployment. He described the approach as "improving our time-to-market" and noted that A103 was specifically designed for the Vera Rubin generation, adding that customers had been actively requesting that class of capacity for 2028.
Bitdeer also said demand for uncontracted AI cloud capacity across its global sites remains strong, estimating that its active pipeline could exceed $10 billion. The company has been aggressively expanding its footprint, including a recent $100 million purchase of 200 acres in Texas for AI data center development, underscoring the intensifying race among infrastructure providers to secure power, land, and next-generation cooling capabilities to serve the booming AI compute market.
The Malaysia deal highlights Southeast Asia's growing role as a hub for AI infrastructure investment, as hyperscalers and AI cloud providers seek diverse geographic locations to meet surging demand for GPU-accelerated workloads. Bitdeer's ability to secure long-term agreements for liquid-cooled capacity ahead of Nvidia's next-generation platform launch positions the company as a notable player in the competitive AI data center landscape.
