Axe Compute and Duos Technologies Expand Partnership with 55MW Multi-Site Capacity Agreement

By: IDCNOVARegion: Southeast Asia
Neocloud provider Axe Compute has signed a capacity agreement with data center firm Duos Technologies, securing up to 55MW of multi-location capacity across the United States. The deal represents more than $500 million in aggregated payments for Duos and builds on an existing collaboration between the two companies, highlighting the accelerating demand for AI-ready infrastructure in the region.

Under the agreement, Axe Compute will take a 49 percent equity stake in the data centers, a structure that goes beyond traditional leasing and gives the company partial ownership of both the physical facilities and their associated power infrastructure. The capacity will be delivered across multiple US sites, with the first deployments expected to begin in late 2026 and continue through early 2027. This follows an earlier 10MW deployment by Duos at its Georgia data center for Axe Compute, which laid the groundwork for the expanded partnership.

Duos Technologies is known for its modular and scalable edge data center offerings, with existing deployments in Texas and Georgia. The company's subsidiary, Duos Edge AI, had previously announced a five-year agreement with an unnamed "investment-grade hyperscaler" for 10MW of capacity at its Columbus, Georgia campus, along with an additional 2MW contracted by Nistar. The new agreement with Axe Compute signals a deepening of the relationship and a broader push to bring purpose-built AI capacity to market.

"When you find a partner that does a great job, and you can trust, you want to do more business with them. That is what we have found in Duos," said Christopher Miglino, CEO of Axe Compute. "We see compute demand accelerating, and we are excited to deliver more Axe Compute Build contracts to our customers alongside a key partner."

Doug Recker, CEO of Duos, echoed that sentiment, stating: "Signing these agreements marks an important step in expanding our relationship with Axe Compute and the Duos platform. Our work in Georgia established a strong foundation, and this expansion demonstrates the scale of the opportunity and the accelerating demand for AI infrastructure. We believe Duos and Axe Compute can create a repeatable model for bringing purpose-built AI capacity to market."

The agreement comes at a critical time for Axe Compute, a relative newcomer in the neocloud space. Headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the company has undergone several transformations, with its earliest SEC filings showing it was formerly known as Skyline Medical, a provider of systems for the collection and disposal of infectious fluids. After rebranding twice, the company adopted the Axe Compute name in late 2025 and pivoted to neocloud services, initially through a Web3 GPU provider before moving to source its own capacity for more traditional offerings.

Axe Compute recently reported its Q2 2026 earnings, its first full quarter generating revenue from compute services. The company posted $3.2 million in revenue, up from $35,000 in the prior quarter, though it recorded a net loss of $17.2 million, driven largely by a non-cash $13.1 million loss on digital assets. In July alone, Axe Compute signed $2.8 billion in contracts, and once fully deployed, it is targeting an annualized revenue run rate of $696 million.

The expansion reflects a broader trend of neocloud providers securing capacity ahead of customer demand to avoid deployment delays, a strategy that is becoming increasingly important as AI workloads strain existing infrastructure. By taking equity stakes in the facilities, Axe Compute is positioning itself for long-term control over both compute and power resources, a model that could become more common as the industry scales.
